Special Citizens is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1976, to support and advocate for individuals with Autism. Committed to the supporting these individuals, our mission is: the promotion and attainment of independence, inclusion, individuality and productivity for adults and children with Autism.
With a workforce of over 200 employees throughout New York City, The Bronx and Westchester County, Special Citizens provides: Residential (Individual Residential Alternatives and Intermediate Care Facilities), Day Habilitation, Medicaid Service Coordination, Community Habilitation, Supported Employment, Pre-Vocational Support, Work Readiness and Recreation.
